🔶 America: Foreign banks dealing with Iran may be sanctioned without warning
The US Department of the Treasury has announced that it has warned foreign financial institutions that cooperate with Iran or with the financial sector of this country, that they may be subject to sanctions by Washington without prior notice.
The ministry announced in a statement that foreign financial institutions that continue to do business with Iranian sanctioned financial institutions may be subject to sanctions at any time without prior notice and "must take immediate action to end such activities and relationships."
"Foreign financial institutions may also face civil and criminal penalties if transactions related to Iran cause US financial institutions or other US persons to violate sanctions regulations," the statement continued.
