🔶 Turkey and Pakistan send soldiers to Saudi Arabia
Following the attacks of the Iranian-backed Houthi militias in Yemen on Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan decided to send troops to that country to support Riyadh.
The three countries announced this issue on Monday, October 5 (October 13), after holding an emergency meeting of the defense alliance known as the "Mecca Treaty" in Riyadh.
This decision should be made within the framework of the internal laws of the three countries. A ground attack on a power distribution station in the country was the reason for this meeting.
The Saudi-led military coalition in Yemen announced last Thursday that the Iran-allied Houthis launched a ground attack on this facility. This facility supplies electricity to the Al-Nabi Mosque, one of the most important places in Jerusalem for Muslims.
The Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, referring to the attacks against this country and places in Jerusalem, saw this action as a sign of "solidarity and unity".
