The walls and watchtower of the former Rajishahar Jail, known as Gohardasht, were completely destroyed; A prison whose name was linked to mass executions of political prisoners in 1367 and the process of closing it began in 1402.

The authorities of the Republic of Salami have declared the prison's departure from the urban fabric of Karaj as the reason for its closure and say that the 60-hectare land is ready for new urban uses.

Deutsche Welle reported in 1402 that some former political prisoners and the prisoners' families see the transfer of prisoners as an action that makes it difficult for families to meet and gather in front of the prison.

This report also referred to the history of Gohardasht's executions in 1367 and described its closure as the closure of a crime scene whose dimensions have yet to be adequately elucidated.iw
