🔶 Bekai: Iran's withdrawal from Enpity is a very serious issue

Ismail Bakai, the spokesman for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, addressed various issues at his media meeting on Sunday, October 12 (October 4).

Bakay said of Iran's withdrawal from the Enpiti Treaty: "This discussion is very serious in Iran's elite and political circles. Iran, as a member of the NPT since 1970, as a party that has fully met its obligations, has been subject to military aggression in the worst form; its scientists have been eliminated in its nuclear facilities.

He continued: "A serious question is that if a country is to participate in the Non-Proliferation Treaty, it should be able to enjoy its benefits and take advantage of its rights, instead of being constantly subjected to pressures, threats and military ground attacks. Therefore, this question is a serious question." Bakai refers to the request of some members of the Salami Council, who wanted Iran to withdraw from the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).
