🔶 The Chancellor of Germany arrived in Ukraine for an unexpected visit

German Chancellor Friedrich Mertz made an unexpected visit to Ukraine to show solidarity and promised more concrete aid, particularly interceptor drones and long-range weapons, to defend the country against Russian military aggression.

The leader of the Christian Democratic Party of Germany said upon his arrival in Kiev on a special train: "If Russia does not stop, sooner or later its war machine will move against us."

Katrina Reiche, Germany's Minister of Economy, and ten directors of companies active in the arms and energy industries will accompany Mertes on this trip.

According to government circles, Mertes plans to assure the Ukrainian armed forces in Kiev that thousands of interceptor drones will soon be delivered to them. Using these drones it is possible to deal with drones equipped with Russian jet engines, which are the most dangerous due to their very high speed.
