On Thursday, October 1st (9 Mahar), the Israel POW Police and Shinbat announced that Muhammad Khalaf, a 25-year-old Arab citizen in Israeli captivity, was arrested on suspicion of collaborating with Iranian agents and acting against the security of Israeli POWs.

According to the joint announcement of Sboyim and Shinvet, Muhammad Khalaf is a resident of the city of Kehal-Garabiya in the north of Sboyim, and was arrested in recent weeks.

These institutions say that he established contacts with Iranian agents and performed tasks for their benefit in exchange for money.

According to the police and Shinbat, the indictment against Muhammad Halaf is about to be filed today at the regional court in Haifa. The main charge against him is harming state security.

The Israeli captors said that this case was part of a wider process in which Israeli citizens were arrested on charges of cooperating with Iran in exchange for money. In the last two years, captives arrested dozens of people on suspicion of doing activities for Iran.
