Three oil tankers were targeted while passing through the Strait of Hormuz
Three Liberian-flagged oil tankers were targeted by "unknown projectiles" while passing through the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday, September 29 (October 7), shipping information company Marisex announced.
According to the report published by the company on Wednesday, September 30, all three ships turned off the automatic identification system while passing through the Strait of Hormuz; According to Mariseks, the operation was carried out in order to prevent their identification.
One of these ships, the oil tanker "Al-Rawis", performed a ship-to-ship transfer in late September near the port of Sohar, Oman, and unloaded its diesel cargo.
In mid-September, the large oil tanker "Marsin Sheshgush" transferred about two million barrels of crude oil from Basra, Iraq, to another ship near Sohar.
A third tanker, Sinbad, loaded petroleum products at Al Jubail Industrial Port in Saudi Arabia in early September. ADNOC Logistics and Services, which manages the two oil tankers Elroys and Mersin Prosperity, declined to comment for this report.
