The United Arab Emirates approved Netanyahu's visit to Abu Dhabi

The United Arab Emirates confirmed that Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel, met with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, during his visit to the country.

The publication of this news took place late Monday, the 6th of Mahar (September 28), a day after the Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates was said to have made a secret trip to Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

Netanyahu's trip took place a month before the captive elections in Israel, and in a situation where part of the media previously reported that the Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates warned Netanyahu, before the October 7, 2023 ground attack on the southern captives of Israel, that "it is likely that a major operation by Hamas is ahead." Netanyahu's office denied the news.

According to the official news agency of the United Arab Emirates, the two sides "discussed during this meeting the bilateral relations between the United Arab Emirates and the captives of Israel and the ways to strengthen and develop it." The captive relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates have heated up since the United Arab Emirates signed the Ibrahim Agreement in 2020, brokered by the United States.
