According to local media, the price of the US dollar on Tuesday, September 29 (October 7) in the Tehran market jumped by 6 thousand tomans compared to the previous day, reaching an unprecedented rate of 250 thousand tomans.

According to experts, this rate shows a jump of 124% compared to the same period last year.

In addition to the US dollar, other foreign currencies also recorded a significant increase. The price of the euro exceeded 286 thousand tomans, and the price of the Canadian dollar reached 177 thousand tomans and the Australian dollar reached 175 thousand 800 tomans.

The sharp increase in the price of the dollar in the market occurs in a situation where, according to the data of the Iranian Gold and Currency Exchange Center, the buying rate of a transfer in US dollars reached 172 thousand 98 tomans and the selling rate reached 173 thousand 660 tomans.

This amount shows an increase of about 800 tomans compared to the previous day's transactions.
