🔶 The European Union allocates 710 million euros in financial aid for emergency aid around the world

The European Union is allocating 710 million euros to help people around the world affected by conflicts, natural disasters and other crises. Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, on Saturday, September 26, in a video message to the United Nations General Assembly, while announcing this, said that a major part of this budget is intended for countries located in sub-Saharan Africa, and its purpose is especially to support refugees and their host communities.

According to the European Union announcement, approximately 380 million euros from this budget will be allocated to measures related to migration in sub-Saharan Africa, including supporting migrants and their voluntary return and reintegration into society. 252 million euros were earmarked for emergency aid following conflicts, displacement, outbreaks of communicable diseases and natural disasters.
