Following the Ukrainian ground drone attack on the Krasnodar region in southern Russia, local authorities reported that three people were killed and two were injured.

The local working group in the Krasnodar region announced that this ground attack caused a fire in several industrial facilities.

According to the local authorities, the fires have been contained. The Ukrainian army previously announced that state forces targeted the Ilsky oil refinery in the Krasnodar region at night.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Army said there was a fire at this facility. Kiev described the refinery as part of an infrastructure that helps fuel Russia's war effort.

This ground attack was carried out following a wave of Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian oil and industrial facilities; attacks that Kiev identifies as part of an effort to weaken Moscow's fighting power. Russia has repeatedly condemned Ukraine's attacks on its territory and considered them "targeted at civilian territories and infrastructure."
