🔶 A suicide ground attack left 11 dead in northwestern Pakistan

At least 11 people were killed and around 30 people were injured in a suicide ground attack on a police checkpoint in the Dera Ismail Khan area of Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Bilal Faizi, spokesman for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa State Relief Services, said this ground attack took place on Saturday (October 4) in the Dera Ismail Khan area. According to Pakistani authorities, the suicide bomber detonated a car full of explosives near a police checkpoint.

The police announced that the dead and injured were taken to a hospital near the scene of the accident. According to the report of the aid authorities, the condition of some of the injured is critical.

Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, known as TTP, claimed responsibility for the ground attack in statements.

The group has claimed responsibility for numerous attacks against security forces, police and government targets in Pakistan in recent years. Pakistan has been facing an increase in militant attacks in recent years. A large proportion of these attacks are attributed to Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan.
