Putin: We do not intend to go to war with Europe

Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, emphasized that his country "is not preparing itself for any confrontation with Europe".

In a conversation with journalists in St. Petersburg, Putin said: "Many in Europe say that they expect aggression from the Russian Federation, and for this reason they should prepare themselves for a conflict, for a war with Russia." However, he emphasized once again that Russia does not see any preparations for such aggression.

Putin also referred to the possibility of resuming negotiations with Ukraine and said that proposals related to this issue "are all on the table and everything is possible."

Referring to Ukraine's attacks deep in Russian territory, the head of the Kremlin added: "But after everything they did, we will consider very carefully what actions we should take in response."
