US President Donald Trump published photos of the Strait of Hormuz on the "Truth Social" social network, in which the name of this strategic waterway was changed to the "Strait of Trump".

This photo was published about half an hour after the publication of the report in the "Wall Street Journal". According to this report, Trump rejected Iran's offer of a seven-day ceasefire and is expected to resume attacks against Iran after the US midterm elections in November.

Earlier, on September 2, Trump raised the issue of changing the name of the Strait of Hormuz to his name and claimed that this important waterway is "under the control of the United States."

Last month he also published articles in which the Strait of Hormuz was presented as "the new American territory". This action occurred just days after Trump said at a rally that he intended to make a statement about it.
