🔶 Malvi Abdul Hamid: Zahidan's Bloody Friday is unforgettable

On the eve of the fourth anniversary of Zahidan's "Bloody Friday," Malawi Abdul Hameed, the imam of Sunni Zahidan, said this incident was "unforgettable." He also warned against war and tensions in the region and called for dialogue with the conflicting parties as well as with the people of Iran.

This prominent Iranian Sunni Rouhani described the 8th of Mahar 1401 massacre in Zahedan as "very shocking and heartbreaking" on Friday 3 Mahar (September 25) in his Friday prayer sermons in Zahedan and honored the memory of the dead and wounded.

On the 8th of Mehar 1401, at the same time as the national arrests after the death of Mehsa Jinnah Amini, Zahidan witnessed one of the deadliest repressions of that year in Iran.

At the time, Deutschhall wrote in a report citing "Human Rights Watch" that the security forces of the Salami Republic killed at least 108 people and wounded about 300 people in Zahidan. This day became known as "Bloody Friday of Zahidan" because of this massacre.
