🔶 Cancellation of flights from Ahan to Erbil and Sulaimani, Iraq

Following the new restrictions against Iranian airlines, Mahanair canceled its flights to Erbil and Sulaimani in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.

Sarsang Mamondi, Mahanair's director in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, told Kurdistan 24 that the company was scheduled to operate a Tehran-Erbil flight and a return Erbil-Tehran flight on Friday, October 3 (September 25). According to him, Manair was informed on Thursday night that these flights did not receive the required approval. Mamondi also said that Mahan's flight to Soleimani was canceled that day.

Mahanair's manager in Iraq and the Kurdistan region said that the airports themselves have no objection to the flights of this company. He added that the main problem is with land service companies. According to Mamondi, Denata and several other companies at the airports refused to provide services for Mahan flights.

Mahanair usually makes three round-trip flights to the Kurdistan region of Iraq every week. Flights between Erbil and Tehran are carried out on Tuesdays and Fridays, and another flight is scheduled between Sulaimani and Tehran on Fridays.
