British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband met and spoke with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Iraqichi, on Thursday, September 24 (October 2) on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. He stated that Britain "will not tolerate intimidation, threats or hostile activities on British soil."

According to the announcement of the British Foreign Office, in a meeting with an Iraqi, Miliband emphasized "Britain's firm determination to deal with threats from groups linked to Iran in this country, including attacks against the British Jewish community."
