🔶 United Arab Emirates suspended flights of Iranian airlines

The official news agency of the United Arab Emirates (WAM) reported on Thursday, September 24 (October 2) that the Civil Aviation Authority of the United Arab Emirates has suspended all flights of Iranian airlines to and from the United Arab Emirates.

In a statement published by the aforementioned organization in this context, it is further stated that "this suspension is based on American sanctions against Iranian airlines, sanctions that prohibit these companies from using airport services around the world."

In doing so, the United Arab Emirates joined the group of countries that took similar action in accordance with the American sanctions, including Oman, Iraq, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkmenistan, which banned or restricted the entry of Iranian aircraft.
