🔶 The election committee voted in favor of eliminating Arab parties

The Election Commission prevented Arab parties from participating in the upcoming elections. This decision still needs to be approved by the Supreme Court. The government coalition led by Netanyahu submitted the relevant request.

According to the decision of the prisoners' election committee, the largest parties representing the Arab minority in this country will be excluded from the parliamentary elections. On Wednesday, September 23, at the request of the government coalition, this committee voted in favor of removing the United Arab list "Ream" and the "Etihad Mosman" list as well as two independent candidates from the elections.

This decision still needs to be approved by the Supreme Court of the POWs. In the past, this court overturned decisions of this type to exclude parties and candidates in most cases.

The election committee consists of representatives of parties that are present in the parliament. Therefore, the decisions of this committee reflect the balance of power in the Knesset.
