🔶 Sharp criticism of German personalities for the arrest of Serkan Eran in Iran

Cem Özdemir, the Prime Minister of the state of Baden-Württemberg from the Green Party, and Thomas Strobel, the Speaker of the Parliament of this country, condemned in a joint statement the arrest and sentencing of Serkan Eran, the founder of the aid organization STELP in Iran.

"His [Serken Arne] sentence to 10 years in prison is shocking news for his wife as well as for his many friends in the state of Baden-Württemberg," the statement said. Azdemir, who is from Turkey, also stated that he will do his best for the immediate release of this Turkish activist.

The arrested Serkan Eran also made a wide reflection on social networks and thousands of Instagram users expressed their influence and interception on this issue. Among them are also art and sports figures, including Timo Hildebrand, the former goalkeeper of the first league club Stuttgart, who is considered one of Eran's friends and said in his message: "Brother, I love you!"
