Cuba called the words of Donald Trump, the president of the United States, in the General Assembly of the United Nations, regarding the imminent fall of the communist government of this Caribbean country, as "false statements" and condemned it.

Bruno Rodriguez, Cuba's foreign minister, wrote on Channel X: "The US government cannot accept the fact that Cuba is a completely independent country with national sovereignty."

He added: "None of Trump's false statements at the UN can deny this fact." Rodríguez is the head of the Cuban delegation that went to New York to participate in the general discussions of the United Nations.

The members of the Cuban delegation left the hall during Trump's speech. Trump said in his speech: "This is a completely failed country, it is collapsing more than ever and it will fall." He added that America is looking for "fundamental change" in Cuba and Marco Rubio, the US Secretary of State, is deeply involved in negotiations with that country.
