Four and a half years in prison for the spy who photographed Gallant's house

The state court in Haifa in the Israeli captivity sentenced a man to 55 months in prison on charges of spying for Iran, including recording photos and videos near the home of Yoav Galant, the former defense minister of the Israeli captives.

Faris Abul Hijah, 32 years old, from the Arab town of Kokab in northern Israel, was accused of "contact with a foreign agent" and the term of the sentence was determined based on his acceptance of the charge.

He was accused of carrying out several missions for Iran between October 2025 and January 2026; The missions that ended with the presence in front of Gallant's house in the town of Amikam in the north of the Israeli prisoners and led to the arrest of Abol Hijah in the same place.

His other tasks included videotaping a cafe in Tel Aviv and hiding cell phones, cash and the password to a digital currency wallet. According to the prosecutors, Abu al-Hijah received a total of about 3,600 dollars for these tasks.
