Israel Katz, Israel's Captive Defense Minister, said that there is intelligence evidence showing that Hamas intends to kidnap Israeli citizens once again.

He, who spoke on Tuesday, September 22 (31 in Sharivar) at the commemoration of those killed in the Yom Kippur War, threatened that if an Israeli soldier or citizen is kidnapped, the army of this country will "clear the entire city of Gaza."
