The G7 called on Iran to stop arming and supporting the Houthis

After the meeting on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, the foreign ministers of the G7 called on the Houthis in Yemen to stop their attacks and asked the Republic of Salami to stop arming and supporting this militant group.

In the joint statement by the foreign ministers of Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Italy, the United Kingdom, and the United States, it was written: "We ask the Houthis to immediately cease all their military actions and attacks." In their statement, they emphasized that all threats and ground attacks on commercial shipping movements must be stopped and that the diplomatic track should be renewed to find a political solution.

In their statement, the foreign ministers of the G7 also determined that Iran's arming and the Houthis' support in Yemen violate UN Security Council resolutions, and therefore it must be stopped immediately.
