According to local Iranian media, the U.S. refused to issue visas to several members of the delegation accompanying Iranian President Masoud Pashakian on his trip to the UN General Assembly.

In this context, the state news agency IRNA described this action as "עוינת" and "חסרת תקדים" and wrote that the Donald Trump administration did not issue visas to some members of Pashakian's senior delegation, including his press staff and his communications.

The news agency "Ma'ar" also published this story, quoting the Iranian presidential spokesperson, and wrote that Pashakian is scheduled to speak at the UN General Assembly on Wednesday, September 23 (October 1).

If Pashakian travels to New York, he will be the highest-ranking official from the Salami Republic to enter the United States since the start of the Middle East war following the American and Israeli attacks on the Salami Republic in February. The U.S. agreed to the Iranian delegation's visit to New York to participate in the UN General Assembly, but, as last year, it set limits for him.
