🔶 Qatar: We are trying to renew the negotiations between Iran and America

Majed Alansari, spokesman for Qatar's foreign ministry, announced that Doha was working with the United States and Iran to resume negotiations, and American officials said Washington wanted to reach an agreement.

Al-Ansari said on the sidelines of the "Qatar Economic Forum" in New York that Doha has been exchanging views with Tehran and Washington in recent weeks to provide grounds for resuming negotiations. According to him, Qatar is trying to "fill the gap between the two sides and find the right moment to move forward".

Referring to America's desire to reach an agreement, Al-Ansari said: "We heard the official statements of various [US] government officials, who confirmed that the US wants an agreement and a solution to this war." He also emphasized that any solution to ending the war should lead to the creation of an international understanding for the protection of navigation routes, including the Strait of Hormuz, while ensuring regional stability.
