Before leaving for New York to participate in the UN General Assembly, Johann Wadpel, the German foreign minister, emphasized that this meeting "should not be limited to examining the current situation of all crises, conflicts and wars" and that all officials should be ready "to work seriously on every step, no matter how small, on the way to solving crises."
