🔶 High turnout of voters in the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern elections
In the German state elections in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, signs of high voter participation can be seen.
According to the state election official in the city of Shurin in this country, by 2:00 p.m. today, Sunday, 40.7% of the 1.3 million eligible voters in the constituencies had voted.
In 2021, the participation rate in the elections in this country was 32.5% and finally the total participation reached 70.8%.
Of course, the state elections were held at the same time as the elections to the German federal parliament five years ago, so these data are only partially comparable. However, in the 2016 state elections, the participation rate was only 32.8% by 2:00 p.m. The election officer in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Christian Boden, once again urged all voters to exercise their right to vote and participate in the elections: "If you haven't voted yet, you still have until 18:00 to vote." Only those who vote have a part in decision-making."
