The Houthis claimed responsibility for the missile and drone attacks on Saudi Arabia

The Houthis in Yemen took responsibility for the latest attacks on Saudi Arabia and announced that they attacked targets in Riyadh and Aramco facilities in the port city of Yanba using dozens of ballistic missiles and drones.

Saudi Arabia confirmed the attacks on Riyadh and several other cities and announced that the country's air defense intercepted and destroyed a missile fired at Riyadh, and attacks on Yanbu and other areas were also repelled.

Turki al-Malki, the spokesman for the military coalition led by Saudi Arabia, announced on the morning of Saturday September 28 (September 19) that the air force of this country intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile. According to al-Maliki, efforts to hit civilian areas and infrastructure in Bisha, Taif, Farsan and Yanbu were also thwarted.

Eyewitnesses previously reported an explosion and fire at a fuel tank near Riyadh International Airport, disrupting the airport's operations for a while. At first, the Saudi authorities did not announce the cause of the fire.
