Turkey supported Saudi Arabia amid the escalation of Houthi attacks

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced on Saturday, September 28 (September 19) that Saudi Arabia may face the military needs of the Yemeni Houthis following attacks by the Yemeni Houthis, and that Turkey will examine how it can support this country within the framework of the tripartite defense agreement between Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan.

Piden said in an interview with the Turkish channel "Antivi" NTV that it is unacceptable for Saudi Arabia to be drawn into a war between America and Iran and added that Riyadh does not want to enter into this conflict. He also added that proposals to end the clashes were presented to all parties, but he did not provide any further details about this.

Meanwhile, the Houthis, supported by Iran and Saudi Arabia, are continuing their counter-offensive in the midst of an escalation of the war in Yemen. The Houthis have taken control of large parts of the Red Sea coast, including the strategic area of the Bablemnad Strait. Pakistan also made a similar commitment to defend Saudi Arabia under the Mecca Defense Treaty.
