🔶 Centcom announced US assistance to move more than a billion barrels of oil through the Strait of Hormuz

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) says that the volume of crude oil, cargo and liquid natural gas that has passed through the Strait of Hormuz in the last two weeks has reached its highest level in six months.

Centcom commander, Brad Cooper, said in a video message published on the X social network that the US military assisted in the passage of more than a billion barrels of oil through the Strait of Hormuz in recent months.

According to him, during this period the American forces ensured the security of more than 2,000 commercial ships passing through this strait.

Cooper also announced that the Iranian government would not export any oil from this strait during this period due to the naval blockade imposed by the United States. "We are also cooperating with all our partners in the region, strengthening their air defense capabilities, establishing a new coalition to deal with drones and keeping the Strait of Hormuz and its surrounding waters open, Yemen and free of threats," says the Centcom commander.
