🔶 Concerned about "fast handling" of asylum applications in Germany
Since the implementation of the new EU asylum regulations, most asylum applications in Germany can be decided by the "fast track" process.
The German government, in response to the parliamentary question of the Left Party faction, announced that since the implementation of the reforms in the asylum regulations on June 12 and until the end of July, a review of 2,093 asylum cases in the fast processing process and 1,561 cases in the normal procedure began.
In 2013, the subject of another case was simply to determine which other EU member state was responsible for processing the applicant's application.
Under the reforms of the Common European Asylum System (GEAS), so-called "accelerated treatment" must be completed within three months.
