The German federal government intends to reduce the impact of rising gasoline prices through a series of measures and defends its multibillion-euro plans to support everyone.
German Economy Minister Katharina Reiche said: "We are taking action, because citizens and companies now need concrete support."
According to this Christian Democratic Party (CDU) politician, a reduction of 17 cents per liter of fuel and the planned price cap will help both families and the craft sector, medium-sized companies and industry.
