🔶 South Korea rejected America's request to participate in Iran's war

Lee Jae-myung, the president of South Korea, rejected the demand of the United States for the country's participation in the war against Iran.

United States President Donald Trump has recently criticized his ally, South Korea, specifically for this reason.

He accused America's allied countries of not providing enough support to secure shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran is trying to block completely.

In response to this, the South Korean president said: "There will be no participation in the war and there will be no military intervention."

He emphasized that Seoul "will not send military forces or military equipment for this purpose."

At the same time, Lee Jae-myung says that Donald Trump is looking for talks with North Korea.

Trump announced in August that he plans to meet North Korean leader Kim Jong Un this year. He mentioned earlier that he was in contact with Kim.
