The United States rejected the assessment of the investigative team appointed by the United Nations Human Rights Council regarding the possibility of war crimes committed by the United States in Iran.

Anna Kelly, a White House spokeswoman, dismissed the report, saying the Human Rights Council "has accomplished nothing for human rights while making baseless and vague claims for decades."

The UN's independent fact-finding committee on Iran affairs announced in its new report that there are "sufficient reasons" to show that the US may have been responsible for the military attacks on a school in Minab and a sports complex in Lambard, and that these attacks may constitute an example of a "war crime".

According to Iranian media, more than 150 people, most of them schoolchildren, were killed in an American ground attack on the "Shajara Taiba" elementary school in Minab on the 9th of Esfand (February 28).
