🔶 Secret meeting of American and Houthi officials in Oman

Reuters, citing several knowledgeable sources, announced that American officials met with representatives of the Houthis in Yemen in recent days in Oman. This closed-door meeting, held at the American embassy in Muscat, is important from the point of view that this Iranian-backed militia group has taken over a strategic part of the Red Sea coast during a large-scale operation.

A few days ago, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, claimed that the Houthis contacted his government and asked the United States to withdraw from the war in Yemen. American Vice President Jeddy Vance also said after these statements, "The United States is in direct contact with this group," but did not provide details.

Citing two sources, Reuters reported that in a meeting held between the representatives of the Houthis in Yemen and American officials, the Houthis announced that they do not intend to attack the bottom of American ships and abide by the cease-fire with the United States in 2025.
