This revelation came after the Saudi Ministry of Defense published photos documenting the visit of the Saudi Chief of General Staff, First Lieutenant General Fayyad Al-Ruwai, to the Hamis Mushait Air Base in the south of the Kingdom. One of the photos clearly showed the presence of a Bahraini pilot with the rank of major, wearing a flight suit and wearing on his right shoulder the badge of the "First Fighter Squadron" of the Bahraini Air Force.
