Kazakhstan will ban the import of cars older than 5 years for personal use. As of December 30, citizens of the Republic will not be able to import a car that was manufactured more than 5 years ago, or with an engine whose environmental rating is lower than 5 euros. The decree of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of Kazakhstan, which has already been officially published, was adopted against the background of an oversupply of cars produced in Kazakhstan itself: from January to September of this year, 136,548 cars were assembled in the republic, which is 38% more than the same period last year. 12 factories are engaged in the production of cars in the country: in Kazakhstan, in addition to the ubiquitous Chinese, Chevrolet, Hyundai and Kia are assembled. At the same time, it is unrealistic to export all this beauty to Russia, since, firstly, the customs ally issued tariffs and recycling fees, and secondly, brands are directly prohibited from selling cars to Russians - even private individuals in car dealerships in Kazakhstan are subject to similar discrimination. It's just like in the Chanel boutiques: they ask people for their passport, and when they see a red membrane, they immediately say, "Your purchase has been rejected." As a result, the Kazakh market was stocked with its own auto industry and the authorities turned to strict protectionism. Now the main thing is that this method does not begin to demand the insatiable AvtoVAZ in Russia, dear readers.
