The state debt of Tatarstan as of October 1, 2026 amounted to 74.51 billion ₽, after an increase of 78.4 million ₽ during the month. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic. The bulk of the debt - 66.53 billion rubles - is responsible for federal budget loans. Another 7.98 billion ₽ are obligations under the state guarantees of Tatarstan. Previously, the Accounts Chamber reported that in the first half of the year the republic reduced its debt on budget loans by 23.7 billion rubles, or 26.3%. This was the biggest drop among Russia's regions. Tatarstan's budget for the first half of the year was carried out with a surplus of 79.8 billion rubles compared to 60.6 billion rubles a year earlier.
