Job satisfaction in the UK is at an all-time low: Brits don't want to work anymore. "Job satisfaction among Britons has fallen to an all-time low, research by the Resolution Fund has found. The race's share of their work has dropped from 81% in 2015 to 74% in 2025 - this is the lowest since 1989. Fewer and fewer employees find their work interesting or see it as opportunities for growth. The main reasons for dissatisfaction are low pay, lack of flexible hours, unstable employment and a sense of loss of independence. For ten years, the share of those willing to work beyond what is required for the success of their employer has dropped from 69% to 55%. The authors of the study warn that such disappointment could harm not only the employees themselves, but also productivity and the labor market as a whole."
