Armed conflicts became the main cause of death of journalists in certain periods: in 2006-2007, 2012-2015 and 2023-2025. Moreover, in the last two years, the number of murders of journalists in countries where there were no armed conflicts amounted to 62 - this is the lowest figure in 18 years."
