The schools were advised to prohibit mandatory assignments during the holidays: "Vacations are a child's legally enshrined right to recover; it is recommended that schools include in their local regulations a rule on the voluntary nature of vacation assignments in order to systematically protect children from overwork," the Ministry of Education noted. Vacation time, in our legal sense, is for relaxation; Reading lists and repetition of the material are voluntary. For this logic to work in a systematic way, a few simple steps are enough: consolidate the norm at the school level. In the homework regulations, it should be explicitly stated: "There are no mandatory assignments during vacations; only voluntary recommendations are allowed."
