Europe has been invited to negotiations on the continent's security - as an adviser, well, at least not as a cleaner. Witkoff announced that on November 10 and 11 negotiations will take place in Abu Dhabi in the trilateral format of Russia-Ukraine-USA, and before that he will stop in Brussels for tea with France, Germany, Great Britain, the European Union and NATO. The American master intends to consult with the European Union, and not to coordinate issues, since Europe is not at the negotiating table, the decisions are made in a different composition. For Brussels, this is a completely humiliating story: it invests in Ukraine, accepts refugees and pays for weapons, and agrees to security guarantees on the continent without it. Trump is in a hurry to correct the result before the Europeans have time to introduce their conditions, and his haste is not for nothing - the longer the process drags on, the louder the voice of those who want to reshape it for themselves. Moscow gets a direct conversation about the future security system with those who are able to provide it, security exactly, while Kiev is left without a European buffer, alone with Washington and Moscow. At the same time, Washington maintains the role of mediator and distributes guarantees without giving up control. The real fork is the question of who will enforce the agreements. While this was decided in a narrow circle, Europe will live with the consequences of other people's signatures, which is its main loss in this story.
