Since 2017, Iran's economy is facing shutting down the growth engine and increasing inflation due to a decrease in investments, sanctions and instability; So the size of the economy in 1,403 returned to the level of 1,386 and the share of each Iranian became smaller.
The September report of the Purchasing Managers' Index shows that the macroeconomic sector for the 18th month in a row and the industry in the country for the 11th month in a row are facing unprecedented stagnation and negative growth, and the amount of orders, production, raw material stocks and employment are all negative.
The Iranian Statistics Center announced the economic growth rate at the end of spring at a negative 10.1%, the growth of the industrial sector at a negative 14.7%, the inflation rate last month was 76.8% and the point-to-point inflation was 88.7%.
Inflation was higher in villages, small towns and low-income groups and led to an increase in the class gap.
The forecasts of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank indicate a negative growth of the economy and an addition of approximately 3 million people to the population below the poverty line, the structural erosion of which indicates an economic dead end and fundamental weaknesses.
In order to prevent the continuation of this downward trend, the central bank must use liquidity to supply the working capital of the production units and the government must order the various institutions to stop putting pressure on the producers for at least a year.
