Is November difficult for the stock market? November was usually a month with a bad record and a rough road for the Tehran Stock Exchange. Examining the performance of the overall index over the past 18 years shows that the average return of the entire index this month is about 0.5% and the probability of registering positive and negative returns is almost equal. This year, the decrease in the price-to-income ratio in the market from 10 to 7.3 units and the publication of positive reports by companies showed signs of improving the value of the shares. But continued political risks could prevent this ability to turn into sustainable growth in the stock market. The near-zero average return this month shows that the stock market's historical performance in November, rather than indicating a steady uptrend or downtrend, has been influenced by each year's specific economic and political conditions. In such an environment, examining the average return alone cannot provide a complete picture of the market situation, and it is important to also pay attention to the reasons for the formation of positive and negative returns. In the years when the stock exchange managed to maintain some of its value by adjusting the P/E ratio and publishing appropriate reports of companies, a better performance was recorded in the eighth month of the year. Historical data shows that even under these conditions achieving significant positive returns in November is not very common. Apart from the years 1401 and 1403, when the entire stock market index registered a strong increase, significant positive returns were observed less in this month. Full text of the channel.
