OpenAI released a model that found thousands of vulnerabilities in Linux, the result in ExploitGym is 48.5% (for comparison, GPT-5.6 Cyber had 32.1%, this is a relative increase of ~51%). In addition to Linux, the model also helped discover more than 80 new critical vulnerabilities in Firefox. It is also used by Mozilla, Cisco, Palo Alto and others. OpenAI also started measuring how likely the model would go beyond the limits of the task (shout out to Facehugger). According to them, in the new version, compared to GPT-5.6, the frequency of this behavior has decreased significantly. Currently only available in Day Red.
