The governor of Turkey's central bank, Fatih Kara Khan, says the bank will continue its monetary tightening policy and remain cautious in order to protect the gains made during the reduction of inflation. The governor adds that the monetary tightening policy reduced the impact of supply shocks on inflation in the recent period. He noted that this comes despite the fact that the expected improvement in inflation expectations has not yet been achieved. The annual inflation rate in Turkey rose to 29.77% during October, compared to 29.73% last September.
