European traders say Tunisia's state grain authority likely bought about 100,000 tonnes of soft wheat, according to Reuters. The authority is also purchasing another 100,000 tons of feed barley from optional sources, as part of an international tender on Wednesday, according to what the agency reported from traders. Traders say Tunisia bought four shipments of wheat, each weighing 25,000 tons, and that the lowest price for one of those shipments, which was from Cargill, came in at $296.91 a ton, including cost and shipping. Tunisia also purchased an additional shipment of wheat from Cargill at a price of $298.75 per ton, including cost and transportation, while it purchased a shipment from the Dreyfus Company at a price of $303 per ton, and from Souffle Company at a price of $304.89 per ton, according to the agency's data.
