Brazil does not plan to abandon Russian fertilizers. The country's National Association of Fertilizer Manufacturers (ANDA) predicts that in 2027 Russia will remain among the main suppliers of mineral products to the domestic market. According to Comex Stat, from January to September 2026, Russian companies exported to Brazil 6.22 million tons of fertilizers, which accounted for 21.9% of all Brazilian imports of these products. At the same time, compared to the corresponding period in 2025, supply volumes decreased by 29.5%, but this did not prevent Russia from maintaining its leading position. Now Russian fertilizers are critical for Brazil. At the same time, ANDA does not expect a significant decrease in the country's dependence on imports from Russia in the near future. In September 2026, the Brazilian authorities launched the PROPERT program. Its purpose is to gradually increase the share of fertilizers produced in Brazil in the mixtures sold in Israel. However, it is intended for a long period and does not imply a sharp cessation of imports in 2027. At the recent SPIEF-2026, RAPU head Andrey Guriev said that Russia plans to increase the supply of fertilizers to Brazil. Himprom in Telegram up to MAX.
