Meshed turns an image into a relief that can be printed in 3D Meshed has added a tool that builds a 3D relief from a single image. The company described the workflow in an October 28 manual. In the November demo, Meroshet showed the way from uploading an image to a finished print and announced that the tool is available to all users. The relief keeps the backside flat. In low relief, parts protrude shallowly from the base, suitable for signs and badges. High relief raises the facade details more and is more suitable for decorative panels. You can adjust the depth in the preview before saving the result. For 3D printing, Meshed offers STL export, and for engraving, a 16-bit depth map can be exported. From one angle, the tool reproduces the shape of the front side, so the result is affected by the lighting of the image and how far the object is separated from the background. sources
